Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Hurry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mack is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by homies by icp. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ben Hurry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dan Mack!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurry tries for a takedown but Mack circles away easily

and Mack holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Hurry manages to pull guard.
Mack wants to stand and escape but instead Hurry has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Mack is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hurry is aware though and is defending well.

Mack is wriggling around but Hurry manages to pass to half guard.

Hurry seems to be working for a kimura but Mack defends the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hurry is looking for a kimura here.
Hurry wants to get back to his feet.

Hurry wants to work for an arm triangle but Mack is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Hurry is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mack doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hurry.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hurry is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mack is just riding it out for now. Hurry eventually gives up the hold.
Hurry tries to stand but can't do so whilst Mack controls his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mack is trying to maintain the position but Hurry is very close to passing his half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hurry looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mack manages to get to full guard.

Hurry thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hurry drops back looking for a leg! Mack is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mack manages to kick Hurry off! Hurry jumps back into Mack's guard.
Mack not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mack can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mack can't keep his opponent in guard - Hurry advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Mack is looking for a sweep. Hurry is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hurry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hurry postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Mack to stand up.

Hurry moves into range and clinches up with Mack.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ben Hurry dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Hurry looks for a takedown but Mack sprawls well.
Hurry gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mack counters with an inside leg kick.
Mack lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Hurry falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dan Mack!
