Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cristian Romero!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Romero was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Romero trying to control but Raith is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Romero in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Raith tries to hold on but Romero pushes him away.
Romero is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Raith can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The referee warns Raith that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Romero postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Raith looks a forlorn figure.

Romero seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Romero throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Romero misses with a head shot. Raith uses the momentum to regain guard.
Romero is looking to work some ground and pound but Raith has wrist control.
Raith has his foot on Romero's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Romero works his way back into a safe position though.
Romero slips nicely into half guard.
Romero wants to pass the guard but Raith is defending well.

Raith is breathing heavily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Romero looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Romero is nestled in close to Raith, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Romero frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Raith is working to get back to half guard.

Raith can't escape the position.

Romero cracks Raith with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
