Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Barnham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zachery Rey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Zachery Rey was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rey lands a jab-cross combination.
Rey takes a swing at Barnham's ribcage but misses.
Barnham closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rey circles away.
Barnham shoots in for a double leg but Rey sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rey moves to clinch but Barnham breaks away
and Barnham counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Barnham on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Barnham on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rey. Rey obviously looking to wear him down.
Barnham slips under a jab.
Barnham on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Rey throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Barnham on the side of the head.
Rey clinches with his opponent.
Rey connects with a nasty looking knee right to Barnham's face.
Barnham manages to break the clinch.
Barnham fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rey misses with a series of wild punches.
Rey throws a nice looking combination but Barnham bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rey throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zachery Rey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight stays on the outside here - Rey looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Barnham shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rey sprawls well. Rey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barnham gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ben Barnham. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rey tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barnham was well out of range. Poor timing from Rey.

Rey fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Barnham has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Barnham tries for a takedown but Rey circles away easily
and Rey counters with a nice body shot.
Rey throws a nice inside leg kick.
Barnham slips a straight right by Rey.
Barnham swats away the attempt to clinch by Rey.
Rey bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Barnham's head backwards.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Barnham. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Rey throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Barnham sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Rey throws a lazy uppercut
and Barnham counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rey's guard now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rey is controlling Barnham's posture.
Rey can't keep his opponent in guard - Barnham advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Barnham stops Rey from getting back to his feet.
Rey wants to improve his position but Barnham is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zachery Rey dominated that round.
That's time! Barnham's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Rey swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Barnham counters with a stiff right hand.
Rey moves out of range as Barnham strikes.
Rey connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Barnham momentarily.

Rey is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Barnham shoots in but Rey avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Rey throws a nice outside leg kick.
Rey tries to bum rush Barnham with a series of wild strikes but Barnham uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rey walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Barnham checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Barnham takes a shot right to the bread basket.
A nice leg kick lands there from Rey.
Barnham on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Rey fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barnham manages to avoid it.

Barnham gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Barnham takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Rey wants to slow Barnham down by chopping away at his legs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rey buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rey.
Zachery Rey seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Rey throws a nice outside leg kick.
Rey cracks the inside of Barnham's front leg.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rey tries to bum rush Barnham with a series of wild strikes but Barnham uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rey stalks Barnham and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Barnham's face. Barnham staggers backwards, shaken.
Rey ducks under a wild hook from Barnham.
Rey scores with a punch to the head.
Rey feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barnhams jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Barnham slips a jab and a cross from Rey.
Rey stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Barnham tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rey swivels and escapes.
Barnham is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Rey fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Barnham has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Barnham defending well as Rey loads up on a big left hand.

Rey rushes Barnham and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rey lands a right hand that snaps the head of Barnham backwards.
Barnham is looking to break free of the clinch but Rey has double underhooks.
Rey misses with the head strike.
Barnham is trying to push Rey away but Rey has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zachery Rey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Barnham changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rey tries to avoid it but Barnham manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rey to the ground. Rey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

An inside leg kick lands from Rey.
Rey has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Rey throws a hook to the side of Barnham's head but Barnham sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Barnham takes one on the button.
Rey stuns Barnham with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Barnham takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Rey feints a jab promting Barnham to slip. Rey then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Barnham slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rey fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Barnham.
Rey connects with a leg kick. Barnham looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Rey throws a right hand that Barnham ducks under and follows up with a left that Barnham also avoids with ease.
Rey lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Barnham backs up against the cage.
Barnham tries to move into range but Rey moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Barnham is rocked!
Rey connects with a stiff jab that staggers Barnham - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
