Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Meoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dexter McLoy!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLoy cracks Meoff with a good jab.
Meoff dodges the punch combination from McLoy.
Meoff fails with a takedown attempt.
Meoff shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
McLoy is looking to improve his position.
McLoy wants to control but Meoff is keeping busy.
Meoff is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Meoff wants to finish this one by submission but McLoy is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Meoff.
BOOM! Meoff connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Meoff wants to take his opponent's back but McLoy doesn't allow it.
McLoy tries to reverse the position but Meoff maintains control.
Meoff avoids the attempt from McLoy to control.
Meoff prevents McLoy from getting the reversal.
Meoff trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Meoff is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Meoff is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. McLoy can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
McLoy tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Meoff stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
A shot to de liver by McLoy. Beautiful body shot.
McLoy throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
McLoy looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
No joy there for McLoy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Meoff gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Meoff in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... McLoy is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jack Meoff!
