The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown is looking to chop away at Maia's legs.
Maia shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brown sprawls well. Brown wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Maia gets slowly back to his feet.
Brown throws a leg kick but Maia checks it.
Brown throws a front kick aimed at Maia's knee but Maia avoids it well.
Brown jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Brown looks to land a body kick but Maia moved away.
Maia walks forward, straight into a front kick from Brown.
Brown throws a right and a left that Maia avoids nicely.
Maia fails with an attempt to clinch.
Brown fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Maia is out of range.
Havvik Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maia avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Brown lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Maia has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Maia and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Maia shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Maia moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Havvik Brown is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Brown feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Maia's calf.
Brown scores with a hook to the body. Maia takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Maia fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brown avoids it really well and circles away.
Brown lands a jab to Maia's midsection.

Maia is trying desperately to land a takedown but Brown is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Maia.

Maia shoots in for a takedown but Brown shows good takedown defense.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Good leg kick by Brown there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Brown lands a left and a right that send Maia crashing to the mat, dazed. Brown thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Maia is rocked!
Brown throws a shot to the body.
Maia is still on wobbly legs! Can Brown finish him?
Brown throws a nice inside leg kick.
Maia's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Brown sends Maia crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Brown is motioning to the referee to let Maia up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Maia leaves his chin hanging out and Brown seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Maia crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
