Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aruki Masura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Olle Matsdottir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sven Olle Matsdottir was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aruki Masura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sven Olle Matsdottir!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Matsdottir.
A combination from Matsdottir does no damage.
Masura moves out of range of the body kick from Matsdottir.
Matsdottir throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Masura rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Matsdottir moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Matsdottir takes a swing at Masura's ribcage but misses.
Sven Olle Matsdottir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Masura moves out of range as Matsdottir throws a body kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Matsdottir.

Masura tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Matsdottir counters with a three punch combo that has Masura backing up. Masura nods at Matsdottir to acknowledge the strikes.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Matsdottir fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Masura is out of range.
Masura throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Matsdottir.
Matsdottir dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

and Masura cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Aruki Masura has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Masura shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Matsdottir is trying to defend but Masura finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Masura seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Matsdottir does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Masura is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Matsdottir is just riding it out for now. Masura eventually gives up the hold.
Matsdottir is looking for a sweep. Masura is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Masura postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Matsdottir is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Masura, into his guard.
Matsdottir postures up in Masura's guard and throws a big left but Masura blocks it.
Matsdottir is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Masura wants to stand but Matsdottir is controlling the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Matsdottir swings for the body but Masura moves out of range.

and Masura counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Matsdottir fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Masura manages to avoid it.

Matsdottir tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Masura was well out of range. Poor timing from Matsdottir.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Masura checks a leg kick.

Matsdottir avoids a punch combination nicely.
Masura takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Masura feints and as Matsdottir raises his hands in defense, Masura changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Masura stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Matsdottir swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Masura is working hard here to advance position.
Matsdottir wants to sweep here but Masura controlling him for the moment.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Masura stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Matsdottir swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Masura will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Masura stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Matsdottir swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Masura is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Matsdottir is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Matsdottir has escaped and now he's on top!
Masura wants to stand and escape but Matsdottir is having none of it.

Masura takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Masura uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Matsdottir.

and Masura counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Masura sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Matsdottir's guard.
Matsdottir moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Masura is pushing down on Matsdottir's leg trying to pass to half guard. Matsdottir is fighting to maintain full guard but Masura has managed to sneak the leg through.
Aruki Masura overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Masura looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Matsdottir is trying to control but can't.
Matsdottir is in trouble now - Masura has advanced to mount!
Matsdottir is controlling an arm, preventing Masura from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Matsdottir tries to reverse the position but Masura maintains control.

Matsdottir is squirming around, avoiding Masura's attempts to control the action.
Matsdottir tries to hold on but Masura postures up.
Masura goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Matsdottir turns into him and now he's in Masura's guard.

Sven Olle Matsdottir comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Matsdottir has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
