Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vilhem Shuler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Voll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Voll has chosen Monster Magnet - Powertrip as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vilhem Shuler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frank Voll!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shuler scores with a takedown into Voll's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Voll avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Shuler wants to pass the guard but Voll is keeping the position.
Shuler wants to control from the top but Voll keeps moving.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Voll can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Shuler controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Vilhem Shuler just wasn't active enough.

Shuler moves into the clinch successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Shuler pulls guard effortlessly.

Shuler working for a triangle but Voll defends it easily.
Shuler keeping moving, preventing Voll from controlling successfully.
Shuler is pulling down on Voll's head. It's preventing any offense from Voll, at least for the moment.
Shuler bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Voll's guard.
Shuler postures up.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Shuler drops back looking for a leg! Voll is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Voll manages to kick Shuler off! Shuler jumps back into Voll's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shuler trying to control the position from guard on top but Voll is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Frank Voll was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Voll leaves Shuler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Shuler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Shuler avoids the body shot from Voll.
Shuler shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Voll sprawls well. Voll wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shuler gets slowly back to his feet.
Voll misses with a hook. Shuler ducked under it nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Voll gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Voll wants to sweep here but Shuler controlling him for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shuler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Shuler wants to pass the guard but Voll is keeping the position.
Voll wants to get back to his feet but Shuler is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Voll lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shuler circles away quickly and effectively.
Shuler takes one on the chin but seems OK.


It looks like Vilhem Shuler has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Voll is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Voll just misses with a punch to the body.
Frank Voll is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Voll throws a nice looking combination but Shuler bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Voll clinches with his opponent.
Voll has Shuler pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Shuler manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Voll is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Shuler breaks the clinch.
Shuler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Voll.
Voll thows a body shot but no joy.
Shuler avoids the body shot from Voll.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Vilhem Shuler will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Vilhem Shuler's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Shuler clinches.

Shuler drags the fight down to the ground.

Shuler kicks Voll off and gets to his feet.
Shuler lands with a kick to the temple. Voll shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Voll is looking to clinch but Shuler is avoiding it.
Voll cracks Shuler on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Shuler falls backwards against the ropes. Voll follows up with more strikes that drop Shuler to his knees. Voll keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Shuler! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Voll!
