Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Boxing Dummie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xander Lagos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dummie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Boxer / Simon & Garfunkel. Boxing Dummie has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dummie scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Dummie throws out a powerful jab.
Lagos needs to keep his hands up - Dummie had a free shot at his head there.
Lagos drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lagos engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Dummie trying to keep a closed guard but Lagos is proving a slippery customer.
Lagos looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Xander Lagos wasn't active enough on the ground.
Lagos drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lagos not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Let's hope that Lagos has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Dummie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lagos is one step ahead there.
Lagos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dummie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dummie wants to stand and escape but Lagos is having none of it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Dummie not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Xander Lagos hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Dummie waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lagos.
Dummie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lagos throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dummie was covering up waiting for the punch and Lagos finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Lagos's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Dummie wants to stand and escape but Lagos is having none of it.
Lagos not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Xander Lagos was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Dummie misses with a looping left.
Dummie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lagos was well out of range. Poor timing from Dummie.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dummie feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lagoss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Dummie scores with a hook to the body. Lagos takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Dummie throws a sloppy body shot
so Lagos counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dummie is breathing heavily.
Lagos is stalling in the full guard.

Lagos works over Dummie with some ground and pound from guard.
Lagos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Lagos stops Dummie from standing up.
Dummie keeping full guard, as Lagos tries to pass.
Lagos forces his way into half guard.
Lagos looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Lagos frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Dummie knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lagos on the ground.
Lagos controlling the pace for now.
Lagos is landing with some decent strikes but Dummie is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Lagos content just to control the position here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lagos's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Lagos cracks Dummie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Lagos connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
BOOM! Lagos connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Dummie is rocked!
Lagos has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lagos lands a big elbow - Dummie is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Dummie is forced to tap out!
