Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ray Boyd!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Dean Styles and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyd shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Gola is wriggling around trying to escape.
Boyd working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Gola is in all sorts of trouble here.
Gola is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Boyd jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gola is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gola and Boyd has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Gola tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Boyd presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Boyd wants to finish this one by submission but Gola is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Boyd.
The referee warns Gola that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Gola is wriggling around trying to escape.
Gola is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Boyd locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Gola is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ray Boyd!
