0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergio Flair! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flair looking to score a takedown here. Mexican is defending well but Flair drives through and ends up in Mexican's guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Flair trying to control the position from guard on top but Mexican is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Flair might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mexican kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Flair is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mexican is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mexican has escaped and now he's on top! Mexican won't allow Flair to sweep him here. Mexican showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Flair is trying to control the position but Mexican postures up. Flair throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mexican escapes and throws Flair's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Flair gets back to half guard. Mexican trying to mount his opponent but Flair defends it. Mexican is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Mexican content to control rather than advance. Mexican trying to control from half guard but Flair is working away. Flair trying to control from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flair tries to kick Mexican off but Mexican keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Mexican trying to pass the guard but Flair defending well. Flair is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Mexican jumps into side control! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Flair can do anything to dispel that myth. Mexican in side control, just content to control the action for now. Mexican stands up. Mexican looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

It looks like Sergio Flair has been cut. Flair looks gassed! Mexican gets a double leg takedown into Flair's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mexican controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Mexican drops back looking for a leg! Flair is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Flair manages to kick Mexican off! Mexican jumps back into Flair's guard. Mexican will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Flair is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mexican defends well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flair wants to sweep but no luck. Mexican throwing strikes from guard but Flair blocks nicely. Mexican gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Mexican scoring well with a low kick there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mexican pushes Flair away with a front kick. Mexican has a takedown stuffed. Mexican closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Flair did well to prevent Mexican getting side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mexican lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Huan Mexican is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Flair leaves Mexican with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Mexican lands with a shot to the body. Flair throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Flair has his takedown stuffed and Mexican counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Mexican gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Mexican drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Flair can't find room to land a body shot as Mexican controls the action.
Mexican has hold of one of Flair's legs. Flair is fighting the takedown attempt but Mexican gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Mexican wants to control from the top but Flair keeps moving. Mexican preventing the sweep. Flair controls Mexican momentarily but Mexican frees himself. Flair is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mexican looks for a takedown but Flair sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Huan Mexican. That's going to take a lot out of him. Flair with a poor takedown and Mexican counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mexican controlling the pace. Mexican wants to lay and pray for a moment but Flair keeps working. Mexican tries to pass the half guard into mount. Flair knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Flair regains full guard. Nicely done. Huan Mexican overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flair can't keep his opponent in guard - Mexican advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Mexican really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mexican lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Mexican is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Flair is trying to maintain the position but Mexican is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mexican is keen to just control but Flair is a slippery customer. Mexican wants to free his trapped foot but Flair is holding on for dear life with his legs. Flair is trying to escape back to his feet but Mexican uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Mexican decides to stand back up. Mexican steps back and let's Flair get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mexican fails with an attempt to clinch.
Flair fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mexican throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Flair tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mexican is in Flair's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mexican dives in and grabs Flair's left leg, looking for a takedown. Flair pushes down on Mexican's head and hops out. Mexican defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Flair. Flair shoots in for a takedown but Mexican shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mexican fails with an attempt to clinch.
Huan Mexican is winning the standup battle so far. Flair fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Huan Mexican has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergio Flair. Mexican shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Mexican landing shots from mount. Mexican is landing with some decent strikes but Flair is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Flair is looking to improve his position but Mexican isn't that keen on the idea. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mexican landing strikes from the mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flair tries to hold on but Mexican pushes him away. Mexican is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Flair to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Flair shrugs it off. Mexican lands with some strikes. Mexican lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Flair takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Mexican content just to control the position here. Mexican has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mexican lands with some strikes. Mexican trying to control but he's not successful this time. Flair tries to reverse the position but Mexican maintains control. Mexican looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. This has been an exciting period of action! Mexican trying to control but Flair is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flair tries to control Mexican's body but Mexican pushes him off. Flair squirms to his side and now Mexican has his back! Flair is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Mexican gets his way!

A lull in the action here.
Mexican has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Flair has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Mexican has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Sergio Flair has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Huan Mexican is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Flair breaks Mexican's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Huan Mexican showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mexican has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
