Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Royce Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jared Greene!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie clinches.
Greene is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Gracie has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Greene is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Gracie pulls guard successfully.
Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Greene can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Greene gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Greene wants to stand but Gracie has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Greene is aware though and is defending well.
Gracie working for a triangle but Greene defends it easily.
Gracie is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Greene would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Greene gets to his feet. Gracie looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Gracie fails in his attempt to clinch.
Greene pushes Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.

Gracie drops down looking for an ankle pick but Greene pulls his leg out and moves away.
Greene moves into range and clinches up with Gracie.
Gracie wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Royce Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie wants the takedown. Greene is fighting it off but Gracie persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Greene's guard against the cage.
Greene wants to stand and escape but Gracie is having none of it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Greene avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Greene is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Greene manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Greene's guard.
Greene wants to stand and escape. He's got his foot on Gracie's hips, looking to push off. But Gracie grabs a hold of the leg and drops back for an ankle lock! It's hard to tell if he's got it. Both fighters look composed - OH, not anymore they don't! Greene screams like a kid who's trapped his fingers in the car door and taps out! Yikes, that must have hurt - hopefully it's not snapped anything!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Heel Hook). Royce Gracie!
An out of breath Royce Gracie thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
