Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mason Kaval (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mason Kaval!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jared Greene!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene throws a series of punches but Kaval moves out of range.

Greene throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kaval was covering up waiting for the punch and Greene finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Greene trying to control but Kaval is working from the bottom.
Kaval is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Greene drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kaval dives on top into guard.

Greene looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kaval is one step ahead there.

Greene not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kaval is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Kaval tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Greene paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Greene shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kaval is trying to defend but Greene finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Greene seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kaval does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are battling for position here. Kaval manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Kaval is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kaval decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Kaval is working for a submission of some sort.
Greene is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Greene has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kaval is working away from the top position though.
Greene is pressing down on Kaval's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Greene keeping moving, preventing Kaval from controlling successfully.
Greene is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Greene kicks Kaval off and gets to his feet.
Kaval wants to clinch up but Greene keeps it at a distance.

Kaval lands with an uppercut that bounces Greene off the cage and back into rage.
Kaval fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Kaval gets caught napping as Greene dives in and scores a takedown. Kaval manages to retain guard.

Greene stands and steps away. Kaval gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Mason Kaval seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kaval fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Greene avoids it really well and circles away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kaval avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Greene gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Greene manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Kaval moves nicely into side control.

Jared Greene showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kaval jumps guard but Greene stands there with Kaval around his waist. Kaval gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Greene is looking for a sweep. Kaval is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Greene is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Greene wants to sweep but no luck.
Jared Greene has got the better of the ground game so far.

Greene working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kaval doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kaval manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Greene takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Greene is not content to let Kaval control the position.

Greene is looking to control Kaval's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Greene avoid being mounted?

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mason Kaval just wasn't active enough.

Kaval drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Greene wants to control but Kaval postures up.
Kaval in side control, throwing shots but Greene defends.
Mason Kaval has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jared Greene is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Greene sneaks back into half guard.

Jared Greene comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Greene has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
