Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Peter Scholaschi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dan Dotson! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scholaschi throws a series of punches but Dotson moves out of range. Scholaschi lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Scholaschi lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Scholaschi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dotson circles away quickly and effectively. Dotson throws a nice looking combination but Scholaschi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Scholaschi loads up on a big right hand but Dotson slips the punch. Scholaschi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Scholaschi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Scholaschi throws a lazy right hand but Dotson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Scholaschi throws a right hand that Dotson ducks under and follows up with a left that Dotson also avoids with ease. Scholaschi misses with a jab, cross combination.

Scholaschi throws a right and a left that Dotson avoids nicely. Dotson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Dotson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Scholaschi, pushing him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dotson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Scholaschi uses from the top position. Dotson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Scholaschi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Scholaschi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dotson looking to control but Scholaschi passes into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dotson tries to buck Scholaschi off but Scholaschi is having none of it. Dotson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Scholaschi off and has taken his back! Scholaschi is trying to get back to his feet but Dotson has full control of the position and if anything, Scholaschi has just worked his way into a worse spot. Dotson has Scholaschi flattened out and is raining down punches. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dotson missing with punches from the back. Scholaschi controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Scholaschi trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dotson is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Scholaschi is defending well though. Dotson let's go of the attempt for now. Dotson looking for the choke from the back. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Scholaschi trying to get back to his feet but Dotson is in full control for now. Dotson looking to break Scholaschi's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Scholaschi remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Dotson will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dotson misses with a punch to the head. Dotson is looking for a rear naked choke here but Scholaschi reverses the position brilliantly into Dotson's guard!

Dotson forces Scholaschi back against the cage and clinches. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Dotson. A right handed body shot lands from Dotson.
Dotson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dotson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Dotson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Scholaschi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Dotson wants to sweep but no luck. Dotson has his foot on Scholaschi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Scholaschi works his way back into a safe position though.

Scholaschi wants to stand up but Dotson has a hold of him and won't allow it. The fighters are battling for position here. Dotson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Scholaschi works his way back into a safe position though. Scholaschi won't allow Dotson to sweep him here. Dotson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Scholaschi is aware though and is defending well. Scholaschi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dotson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Scholaschi has managed to get both his arms back between Dotson's legs - danger averted. Dotson working for submissions but it's allowed Scholaschi to get to half guard.

Dan Dotson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

This has been an exciting period of action! Scholaschi throws a combination. Dotson tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Peter Scholaschi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dotson wants to clinch up but Scholaschi keeps it at a distance. Sloppy strikes from Dotson. Those never looked like landing. Dotson lands with a nice body kick. Dotson looks to land a combination but Scholaschi avoids it well. Scholaschi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dotson. Scholaschi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dotson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A solid leg kick lands there for Dotson.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A punch combination from Dotson misses. Peter Scholaschi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dotson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Scholaschi's waist but Scholaschi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dotson off to one side. Dan Dotson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Scholaschi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
And that's the end of the fight! Dan Dotson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dotson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
