Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darth Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric McKoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vader kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Imperial March. Darth Vader could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Eric McKoy's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Vader enables McKoy to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vader manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Vader working for a triangle but McKoy defends it easily.
McKoy tries to free his leg and advance position but Vader is retaining full guard.
McKoy stands up and waves to Vader to follow him.
McKoy keeps the fight on the outside.
Vader misses with a takedown attempt
and McKoy counters with a nice uppercut.
McKoy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vader sprawls well initially but McKoy persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

It looks like McKoy might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Eric McKoy was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Nice sprawl there from McKoy as Vader shoots in.
McKoy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Vader is trying to defend but McKoy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
McKoy working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Vader shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McKoy as he avoids it easily.

Vader tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McKoy swivels and escapes.
Vader gets tackled into the cage by McKoy. McKoy maintains the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McKoy escapes and gets back to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vader is defended easily by McKoy.
Vader ducks right into an uppercut from McKoy.

McKoy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

McKoy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

McKoy is pushing down on Vader's leg trying to pass to half guard. Vader is fighting to maintain full guard but McKoy has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McKoy lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
McKoy moves nicely into side control.
McKoy advances to full mount.

Vader wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
McKoy is working for a guillotine from mount but Vader frees his head quite easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
McKoy instigates a clinch.
McKoy works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Vader is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McKoy defends well.
Vader has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. McKoy is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Vader.
Vader tries to improve position but can't.
McKoy in side control, just content to control the action for now.
McKoy stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
BOOM! McKoy connects with a massive shot to the dome!
McKoy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

McKoy's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
McKoy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Vader is trying to reverse the position but instead McKoy has taken his back - oops!

McKoy is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Vader defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
McKoy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
McKoy looking for the RNC.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Vader is trying to stand back up.
McKoy controlling well, preventing Vader from escaping the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vader trying to get back to his feet but McKoy is in full control for now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Eric McKoy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Vader's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
McKoy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McKoy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vader looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Vader is looking to regain half guard here but McKoy keeps moving and retains side control.

McKoy is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Vader's shoulder. That is not cool.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McKoy blocks a head kick by Vader.
McKoy manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Vader on his heels. He'll look to pass Vader's guard now, I'm sure.
McKoy is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Eric McKoy is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
McKoy takes Vader's back, avoiding a couple of desperation strikes from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight!
Eric McKoy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McKoy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
