Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yamashita Kazuma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazuma has chosen Yatta! as his entrance music. Nikolai Volkov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Kazuma to counter with a crisp jab.

Volkov throws a front kick aimed at Kazuma's knee but Kazuma avoids it well.

Kazuma tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Volkov paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kazuma throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Volkov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kazuma looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kazuma parries the strikes from Volkov easily there. Volkov is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kazuma to escape.
A lull in the action here as Volkov stalls from top position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Volkov throws a strike aimed at the side of Kazuma's head but Kazuma avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kazuma wants to clinch.
Volkov has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kazuma finds it's way round the side to connect with Volkov's head.
Volkov throws a solid leg kick but Kazuma takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Volkov.
Volkov shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kazuma throws a big shot that misses.

and Volkov counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Volkov postures up in Kazuma's guard and throws a big left but Kazuma blocks it.
Volkov stands and throws Kazuma's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Kazuma on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Kazuma is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Volkov moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Volkov creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kazuma sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Volkov throws a strike aimed at the side of Kazuma's head but Kazuma avoids it well.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Volkov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kazuma has escaped the position, nice work there.
Volkov postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Volkov content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Kazuma tries to bench press Volkov off him but Volkov keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Volkov misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Volkov creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kazuma sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Volkov! Kazuma is hurt baaadly! Volkov is firing away with more strikes - Kazuma is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
