Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Roger Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emily Weaver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Weaver looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Weaver postures up in Nelson's guard and throws a big left but Nelson blocks it.
Weaver advances to half guard.
Nelson is trying to maintain the position but Weaver is very close to passing his half guard.
Nelson won't allow Weaver to pass to mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nelson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Weaver fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Weaver swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Nelson is now in Weaver's guard. A big mistake from Weaver there, giving up the dominant position!
Nelson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Nelson tries to stand but Weaver is controlling from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Nelson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Weaver looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Weaver should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Weaver manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nelson manages to get himself to full guard.

Weaver in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Nelson tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Weaver!
