PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Randy Randolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Randolf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Harris!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Randolf moves into the clinch.
Randolf fails to pull guard.
Harris drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Harris looking to slow down the pace here.
Randolf cracks Harris with a nice body shot.
Randolf jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Harris walks away with a smile on his face. Randolf gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Harris shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Randolf is trying to defend but Harris finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Harris controlling the action here.
Randolf is trying to control but can't.
Randolf tries to get to full guard but Harris has control of the leg.
Randolf wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harris is controlling the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Randolf tries to clinch but Harris moves away
and Harris counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Randolf shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Randolf. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Randolf has a takedown stuffed.
Randolf shoots in looking for a takedown but Harris manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Randolf's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Randolf shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Harris defends it nicely.

and Harris counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Randolf!


Randolf is rocked!
Randolf is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Randolf is looking for a sweep. Harris is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Randolf wants to control but Harris is keeping busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Randolf is defending against the submission attempts here by Harris.
Randolf has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Harris is working away from the top position though.

Harris is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Randolf doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Harris.
Randolf tries to roll over but Harris keeps him under control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harris controlling the action here.
Randolf tries to get to full guard but Harris has control of the leg.
Harris trying to control from half guard but Randolf is working away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Randolf is trying to maintain the position but Harris is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Harris dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Randolf dives in and grabs Harris's left leg, looking for a takedown. Harris pushes down on Randolf's head and hops out.
Randolf tries to close the distance and clinch up but Harris swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Randolf.
Randolf doesn't manage to clinch there - Harris circles away.
Harris swats away the attempt to clinch by Randolf.

Randolf gets the takedown into side control.
Randolf throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Harris works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harris gets full guard.

Harris is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Harris working for a triangle but Randolf defends it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Harris is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Randolf rolls with it to try and escape but Harris cranks on the arm and Randolf is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Chris Harris!
