The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kalio drives through and clinches with van Frankrijk against the cage.
van Frankrijk is pressed up against the cage. Kalio has hold of a leg and is looking to drag van Frankrijk down to the mat. van Frankrijk avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
van Frankrijk scores with a jab to the body.
van Frankrijk fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kalio looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
van Frankrijk thuds a left hand into Kalio's body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kalio looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

van Frankrijk clinches up against the cage.

Kalio gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
van Frankrijk will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

van Frankrijk is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kalio defends well.
Kalio must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

van Frankrijk had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kalio defends it easily.

Kalio is posturing up here but van Frankrijk has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Kalio tries to roll out but it's too tight and Kalio has to tap! Slick submission there by van Frankrijk!

Ajax van Frankrijk decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
