Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Colbert! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson Guittierez! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Colbert shoots in for a takedown but Guittierez shows good takedown defense. Colbert looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Guittierez is fending him off so far but Colbert persists. Nope, Guittierez circles away and we're back to standing. Guittierez gets a takedown into half guard. Guittierez throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Guittierez seems to be working for a kimura but Colbert defends the submission attempt. Colbert trying to control but Guittierez postures up.
Colbert wants to improve his position but Guittierez is controlling well.
Guittierez has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Colbert is trying desperately to improve position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Guittierez with good strikes from the mount here!
That's one minute gone in the round. Colbert tries to reverse the position but Guittierez maintains control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Colbert tries to hold on but Guittierez pushes him away. Colbert is desperately trying to improve his position but Guittierez has a good base and remains in mount. Colbert in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Colbert tries to reverse the position but Guittierez maintains control. Guittierez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Colbert's face.

Colbert is breathing heavily. Colbert working to try and regain half guard.
Guittierez looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Guittierez with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Colbert is in all sorts of trouble here.
Guittierez thowing shots but they're missing. Guittierez looking to isolate an arm here. Colbert doesn't see it coming and as Guittierez extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Guittierez!
