Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Vallely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Burkhart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vallely's entrance music is CKY - 96 Quite Bitter Beings. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Vallely! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Burkhart! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burkhart fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Burkhart steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vallely. Burkhart shoots in but no luck this time. Burkhart shoots for a takedown but Vallely saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mike Vallely has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Burkhart. Burkhart tries for a takedown but Vallely sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Vallely misses the jab. A punch combination from Vallely misses. Vallely misses with a few strikes there.
Burkhart fails to land the takedown. Vallely jabbing away but nothing is landing. Vallely misses with a body shot.
Nice defenses there by Burkhart. Vallely avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Vallely scores with a nice right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vallely throws out a loose jab but Burkhart uses good head movement to avoid it. Vallely misses with a right hand and Burkhart counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Vallely manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Vallely will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Vallely avoids the attempt from Burkhart to control. Burkhart tries to reverse the position but Vallely maintains control. Burkhart bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Burkhart advances to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burkhart is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vallely is just riding it out for now. Burkhart eventually gives up the hold. Vallely wants to get back to full guard. Vallely is trying to control but can't.
Burkhart is trying to work for a kimura but Vallely is defending well.
Burkhart is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Burkhart throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vallely is looking to get back to is feet but Burkhart passes into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vallely is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Burkhart looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Burkhart trying to control the action but Vallely is working from the bottom. Vallely is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burkhart postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Burkhart is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Vallely knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Vallely on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Vallely tries to get out of the position. Vallely gets back to half guard. Burkhart slips a nice elbow through Vallely's hands, connecting with Vallely's forehead. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Burkhart is figuring out what he wants to do next. Burkhart stands up from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Burkhart dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Vallely lands a slapping body shot.
Vallely tests Burkhart's chin there with a solid looking shot. Burkhart bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Vallely rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Burkhart counters with a nice double leg into guard. Vallely looking for a sweep. Not yet Vallely, not yet. Burkhart wants to stand but Vallely has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Burkhart looking to sit in guard and control but Vallely gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Burkhart working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vallely doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vallely manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burkhart is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Vallely with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Burkhart has a closed guard, preventing Vallely from standing up. Burkhart can't keep his opponent in guard - Vallely advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Vallely stands up from half guard. Burkhart is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vallely sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Vallely pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Burkhart displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Vallely throws out the jab. Burkhart uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vallely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lazy left from Vallely finds it's target. Vallely throws a hook but Burkhart avoids it easily. Vallely misses with a hook
letting Burkhart counter with a right hand. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Burkhart. Burkhart shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mike Vallely has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Burkhart. Burkhart looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. This has been an exciting period of action! Burkhart shoots in for a double leg but Vallely sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Vallely is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Vallely stuffs the takedown. Burkhart is breathing heavily. Vallely lands a two punch combo.
Burkhart shoots and misses and Vallely cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Vallely connects with a nice looking jab.
Burkhart is rocked! Burkhart shoots in and drives through. Vallely sprawls well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice shot lands for Vallely. Burkhart is still on wobbly legs! Can Vallely finish him? Burkhart has his takedown stuffed and Vallely counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Burkhart slips under a jab from Vallely. Vallely circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Burkhart to the canvas! Burkhart doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Vallely keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
