Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Geoffery Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Vazquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reynolds kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mortal Kombat. Hector Vazquez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reynolds fails with the takedown.
Vazquez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Reynolds defends it nicely.
Reynolds closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Vazquez gets back to half guard.
Vazquez trying to control but Reynolds postures up.
Reynolds seems to be working for a kimura but Vazquez defends the submission attempt.

Reynolds with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Vazquez is trying to control but Reynolds passes into side control!
Vazquez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reynolds. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Reynolds happy to just control the position for now.
You can see the frustration on Vazquez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Reynolds is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Vazquez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Reynolds's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vazquez is trying to control Reynolds's posture but Reynolds avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Geoffery Reynolds dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Reynolds looks for a takedown but Vazquez sprawls well.

After the fight, Geoffery Reynolds was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
