Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between War Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machine comes into the arena with Party Rock - LMFAO blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for War Machine has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banks is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Machine's half guard. Machine gets full guard. Machine is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Banks is aware though and is defending well. Banks wants to control from the top but Machine keeps moving. Machine trying to keep a closed guard but Banks is proving a slippery customer.
Banks wants to stand and escape but instead Machine has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Banks is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banks has his hands on Machine's head, controlling the position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Banks trying to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Carl Banks. Machine will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It looks like Carl Banks has been cut. A decent looking cross lands there for Machine.
Banks is rocked! Banks showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Machine.

Banks seems to have recovered his senses. Banks closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Machine has had enough of the clinch but Banks keeps him there for the moment. Banks drags the fight down to the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Banks looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Machine trying to control but Banks is working from the bottom. Banks looking to control but Machine passes into half guard.
Machine is looking to take a break and control but Banks is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Machine is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Banks tries to reverse the position but Machine maintains control. Machine looking to control but Banks is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Machine trying to control but Banks is having none of it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Banks tries to control Machine's body but Machine pushes him off. Banks squirms to his side and now Machine has his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Machine throws a nice looking combination but Banks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Banks misses the jab. Machine scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. War Machine is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Banks fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Machine sprawls well initially but Banks persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Banks is controlling the pace.
Banks is trying to control. Machine wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Machine trying to hold on to Banks's head to control him but Banks postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Machine is pressing down on Banks's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Machine looking for a guillotine here but Banks defends easily.

Carl Banks has got the better of the ground game so far. Machine is looking for a triangle but Banks pushes his legs off easily.
Banks must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Machine trying to keep a closed guard but Banks is proving a slippery customer.

Machine throws a nice looking combination but Banks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Banks dives in and scores a takedown into Machine's guard. Machine utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Banks throws a big right hand that misses. Banks is looking to advance position but Machine has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Machine wants to take Banks's back here but Banks is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Banks tries to control the position but Machine now has his back.
You can see the frustration on Banks's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Banks's corner are yelling at him, telling him to just focus on controlling Machine's hands. Banks is in bad spot here.

A close second round but Carl Banks will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Carl Banks's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Banks tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Machine manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Machine tries to sprawl but Banks drives through with a takedown into half guard. Banks is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Machine is just riding it out for now. Banks eventually gives up the hold. Banks trying to control from Machine's half guard. Machine has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Machine is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Machine utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Machine is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Banks is aware though and is defending well. Machine is looking to sinch up a triangle. Banks throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Machine's body to avoid the submission. Machine has instead reached around Banks's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Machine arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
