The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richmond V with a lazy takedown attempt and Moia counters with a nice double leg into guard. Moia controlling from the top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Damien Moia. Moia closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Richmond V to the mat! Richmond V manages to get full guard.

Moia engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. It looks like Moia might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Richmond V throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Moia counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Moia. Moia slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Richmond V wants to get back to his feet but Moia is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Richmond V could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Damien Moia showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Moia shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Moia was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Moia content just to control the position here. Richmond V tries to reverse the position but Moia maintains control. Moia looking to control and managing it successfully. Richmond V tries to hold on but Moia pushes him away. Moia controlling his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moia avoids the attempt from Richmond V to control. Moia goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Richmond V is on top in guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Richmond V fails with the takedown and Moia counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
