Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 1, fighting out of New York, James Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eino Kivi! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kivi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Miller. Kivi drops Miller with a left and a right! Oh, Miller is hurt - Kivi dives into side control looking to finish!
Miller is rocked!
It looks like James Miller has been cut. Kivi scoring with punches from side control. Oh Miller is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kivi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Miller has escaped the position, nice work there. Miller is pushing Kivi's head away, looking to escape. Kivi manages to hold on to the position though. Kivi scores with a couple of short elbows. Kivi looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Miller is avoiding damage well.

The ground and pound from Kivi seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Kivi working the head with strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Kivi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Miller can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kivi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Miller has escaped the position, nice work there. Kivi controls the position. Kivi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Miller defending against the ground and pound. Kivi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kivi controlling from side mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kivi has just dragged him back down to the mat. Miller is looking for a sweep. Kivi is trying to get an arm triangle but Miller is defending well. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kivi throws an elbow but Miller slips to the side and avoids it well. Kivi has hold of Miller's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Miller seems comfortable defending it but Kivi has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Miller is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Miller is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Kivi couldn't care less - he's delighted!
