The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pena throws out a loose jab but Dalbert uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pena thuds his right hand into Dalbert's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

It looks like Dave Dalbert has been cut.

Pena connects with the punch.

Dalbert rushes Pena and presses him up against the cage.

Pena keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dalbert's efforts to push away.
Dalbert tries to pull guard but Pena won't allow it.

Dave Dalbert seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dalbert changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pena tries to avoid it but Dalbert manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pena to the ground. Pena escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dalbert moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Dalbert tries to clinch up but Pena circles away and keeps his distance.
Pena keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dalbert throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pena.

Pena takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Pena thuds a left hand into Dalbert's body.
Dalbert looks gassed!
Dalbert is looking to clinch but Pena is avoiding it.
Dalbert fails with the takedown

and Pena counters with a crisp right hand that drops Dalbert! Pena lets Dalbert back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Dalbert is rocked!
Dalbert is trying desperately to land a takedown but Pena is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Dalbert.
