Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Janos Lieu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vyacheslav Poluyanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lieu kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath. Poluyanov has chosen The battle is going again as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Vyacheslav Poluyanov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poluyanov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lieu on the side of the head.
Poluyanov moves out of range as Lieu strikes.
Poluyanov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lieu throws out the jab.
Lieu scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Lieu checks a leg kick.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lieu crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Poluyanov - the referee stops the clock and Lieu gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Poluyanov. Lieu manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Lieu misses with an uppercut. Poluyanov saw that one coming.

Poluyanov throws a lazy right hand but Lieu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Crunch! Poluyanov slams his shin into Lieu's torso.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lieu takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Good leg kick by Poluyanov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Lieu takes a swing at Poluyanov's ribcage but misses.

Poluyanov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lieu stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Poluyanov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lieu has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Poluyanov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lieu has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lieu and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Lieu engages and cracks Poluyanov with a massive lead left hook - Poluyanov tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Lieu is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
