Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ace Valdes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randolph Turpin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Valdes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to RAWR. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turpin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Valdes.
Turpin lands a nice hook to Valdes's body. Valdes takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
The fight stays on the outside here - Valdes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Valdes takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Turpin lands with a nice combination. Valdes backs away looking to recover.

Valdes takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Turpin scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Oh Valdes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Turpin lands with a big right hook that stumbles Valdes - he's out on his feet here! Turpin follows up with another monster hook that separates Valdes from consciousness! Valdes falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Turpin stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
