Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Provina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francois Pettipas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carl Provina! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Francois Pettipas! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Provina fails with a takedown attempt. Provina throws a head kick but Pettipas moves out of range.
Pettipas stuffs the takedown attempt from Provina. Provina gets slowly back to his feet. Provina throws a head kick that misses. Nice takedown defense from Pettipas. No joy for Provina on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Provina. That's going to take a lot out of him. Provina pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Provina moves in looking to clinch but Pettipas pushes him off. Provina takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Provina wants to clinch up but Pettipas keeps it at a distance. Francois Pettipas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pettipas scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Provina drives through and clinches with Pettipas against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Provina. Pettipas can't break the clinch.
Pettipas breaks the clinch.
Provina is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Provina keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Provina lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Provina fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Provina is breathing heavily. Provina takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Carl Provina has been cut. Provina shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pettipas but Pettipas pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pettipas throws a combination. Provina tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Provina takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Provina is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pettipas lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Provina is looking to close the distance but Pettipas sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Provina crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Provina is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
