The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dickinson looks to clinch and Tigro counters with a big head kick but Dickinson shrugs it off. Dickinson tries to clinch up but Tigro circles away and keeps his distance. Tigro misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dickinson fails with the takedown and Tigro counters with an inside leg kick. A head kick from Tigro lands but Dickinson takes it in his stride. Tigro shoots in and gets a takedown into Dickinson's guard. Tigro tries to stand but Dickinson is controlling from the bottom. Dickinson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dickinson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dickinson is striking but Tigro is not phased and passes to half guard. Dickinson wants to control but Tigro is keeping busy.
Tigro tries to stand and escape but Dickinson is controlling the position. Dickinson trying to control from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Dickinson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Dickinson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Alan Dickinson wasn't doing enough on the ground. Dickinson shoots in but no luck this time. Dickinson slips a jab and a cross from Tigro.

Dickinson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tigro sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dickinson somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alan Dickinson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dickinson shoots in for a takedown but Tigro shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Tigro tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dickinson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sloppy strikes from Dickinson. Those never looked like landing. Alan Dickinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tigro avoids the head kick by Dickinson.

Dickinson misses with a takedown and Tigro counters with a nice uppercut. Dickinson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tigro jabs at Dickinson's body. Tigro misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dickinson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Tigro is looking to slow Dickinson down with leg kicks. Dickinson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Dickinson darts in and clinches Tigro up against the cage. Tigro misses with a hook from the clinch. Dickinson jumps guard but Tigro stands there with Dickinson around his waist. Dickinson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Tigro is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage. Dickinson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tigro's efforts to push away. Tigro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dickinson wants to clinch up but Tigro keeps it at a distance. Tigro throws a head kick that half lands.

Tigro throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dickinson was covering up waiting for the punch and Tigro finishes the takedown easily into guard. Tigro is breathing heavily. Tigro is looking to stand up but Dickinson won't let him. Dickinson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tigro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Dickinson is tightening it up a little... Tigro has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Tigro reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Tigro taps out! Nice BJJ there by Dickinson!
