Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Ennio Morricone - For a Few Dollars more. Ok Ko has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Luke Johnson's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ok Ko!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ko looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Ko misses with a body kick.
Johnson jabs at Ko's body.
Johnson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ko displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Johnson throws out the jab.
Ko throws a leg kick that misses.
Ko ducks under a wild hook from Johnson.
Ko is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ko defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Johnson.
Ko displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Johnson.
Johnson misses with a wild body shot.
Johnson sizes up Ko with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Ko pushes Johnson up against the cage in a clinch.

Johnson is working for takedown but Ko is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luke Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Johnson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ko uses from the top position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Ko is looking for a sweep. Johnson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ko wants to get back to full guard but Johnson has mounted him!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ko can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ko is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Johnson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Johnson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Johnson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


Ko is rocked!
Ko is in a horrible position here. Johnson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Ko is still in real trouble! Can Johnson finish him?
The referee warns Ko that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ko wants to hold on but Johnson pushes him away.
Ko seems to have recovered his senses.

Johnson is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ko tries to buck Johnson off so he can stand up but Johnson has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Ko falls backwards, slamming Johnson to the mat but Johnson holds on tight! Ko is forced to tap and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Luke Johnson!
A less than humble Luke Johnson misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
