Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Mosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Bingoman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as John Bingoman enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex Mosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Bingoman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bingoman tries to clinch there but Mosa circles away.

Mosa closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mosa lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Mosa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Bingoman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mosa defends it easily.
Mosa advances to half guard.
Mosa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mosa decides to stand up.
A head kick misses from Bingoman.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Mosa.
Mosa remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mosa is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bingoman can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The referee warns Bingoman that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Mosa lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Bingoman reaches up to try and control the position but Mosa seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Bingoman rolls and tries to escape and now Mosa has his back!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Even with his hooks in, Mosa manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Mosa trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Bingoman doesn't escape.
Bingoman is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Mosa has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Bingoman has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mosa is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bingoman sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Mosa lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Bingoman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mosa is working away from the top position though.

Mosa is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bingoman has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Mosa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Mosa's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Mosa has hold of Bingoman's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bingoman manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Bingoman defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Mosa's arms.
Mosa lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Mosa.

Mosa punches the canvas rather than the man.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bingoman avoids the strikes from Mosa.
Bingoman is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Bingoman fails with a takedown attempt.
Mosa throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Mosa shoots for a double leg takedown but Bingoman sprawls well. He's pushed Mosa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mosa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bingoman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mosa.
Mosa looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Mosa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bingoman is just riding it out for now. Mosa eventually gives up the hold.

Mosa closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bingoman did well to prevent Mosa getting side control.
Mosa is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bingoman can do to turn this around?

Well, if Mosa is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Bingoman throws a front kick aimed at Mosa's knee but Mosa avoids it well.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mosa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
