Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pat Sumrall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Caldwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jimmy Caldwell was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Caldwell!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sumrall lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Caldwell with a jab.
Caldwell keeps the fight on the outside.
Sumrall is looking to slow Caldwell down with leg kicks.

Sumrall rushes Caldwell and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sumrall misses with a knee to the head.
Sumrall misses with a body punch.
Caldwell trying to control the position but instead, Sumrall has worked for underhooks and has pushed Caldwell into the cage.
Caldwell takes an elbow to the forehead.
Sumrall prevents Caldwell from breaking the clinch.

Caldwell has had enough of the clinch but Sumrall keeps him there for the moment.

Sumrall digs a right hand underneath Caldwell's ribcage. Caldwell let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Pat Sumrall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sumrall throws a nice looking combination but Caldwell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sumrall lands a nice leg kick that just misses Caldwell's sensitive parts.
Sumrall throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sumrall smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Caldwell is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sumrall's half guard.
Caldwell wants to free his trapped foot but Sumrall is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Caldwell.
Sumrall looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Caldwell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sumrall stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A solid leg kick lands there for Sumrall.
Caldwell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Caldwell ducks right into an uppercut from Sumrall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
