Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Haral Dir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Irwin Linford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Haral Dir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Irwin Linford! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Linford tries a head kick but it misses.
Linford lands with an uppercut that bounces Dir off the cage and back into range. Dir fails to land the takedown. Dir scores a takedown into full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dir won't let Linford get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Dir misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Linford should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Poor strikes thrown by Dir there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Linford is trying to stand up. Dir sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Dir has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Linford is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Dir is in the full mount, landing strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dir controlling the pace for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Linford takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
It looks like Irwin Linford has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dir sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Linford can do anything to dispel that myth. Dir controlling the pace for now. Linford avoids a series of strikes thrown by Dir.

That has opened up Irwin Linford's cut even more. Dir raining down shots from the mount! This has been an exciting period of action! Linford wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Linford looks gassed! The referee warns Linford that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The cut above Irwin Linford's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Dir softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Linford is out cold! Dir jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Haral Dir!
