Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maksim Romanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Kolesnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romanov has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Romanov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kolesnikov is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Romanov tries for a kimura but Kolesnikov is defending well.
Romanov is breathing heavily.
Kolesnikov struggling a bit here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Romanov throws a strike aimed at the side of Kolesnikov's head but Kolesnikov avoids it well.
Romanov wants to control but Kolesnikov is keeping him busy.
Kolesnikov tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Kolesnikov fails to land the takedown.

Kolesnikov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Romanov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Romanov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Romanov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kolesnikov is nestled in close to Romanov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
