These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Russell Belcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ray King!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Belcher.

Belcher clinches up with King and pushes him back against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
A head punch on the inside from King fails to land.
Belcher misses with a hook to the ribs.
Belcher misses with the head strike.
King is trying to stall.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Belcher takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
King looking to stall.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. King obliges.
Belcher throws a punch but it's blocked by King.
Belcher works on King's body with a couple of short punches.
Belcher stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Belcher working aggressively here.
Belcher blocks a punch to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Belcher lands a nice uppercut.
King misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Belcher.
Stalling in the clinch from Belcher.
Belcher misses with the head strike.
Belcher working aggressively here.
A head punch on the inside from Belcher fails to land.
Belcher tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Belcher working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Belcher lands a right hand.
Belcher swings wildly with an uppercut but King uses good head movement to avoid it.
Belcher trying to stall but King improves his position.

Belcher has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed King clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
You can see the frustration on King's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Belcher scores with punches to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Belcher. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Belcher is landing with strikes. King can't take much more of this.
Belcher lands shots from the back.
King is trying to remain composed but Belcher is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Belcher lands a shot to the body.
King is taking damage to the body and head.
Belcher lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Belcher throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting King!
King grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.


King is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Belcher is landing big shots and King is squirming looking to escape! He can't escape though and the ref jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Russell Belcher!
