Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ric Flair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir IV (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flair's entrance music is Bang Your Head. A fine choice. Ric Flair is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ric Flair! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mir IV! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flair throws a big shot that misses. Flair pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Flair throws a shot from downtown. Mir IV moves away and avoids it. Flair throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Flair shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mir IV as he avoids it easily. Mir IV decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Mir IV is keen to just control but Flair is a slippery customer. Flair flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Flair is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Flair trying to control but Mir IV postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flair wants to control but Mir IV passes into side.
Flair is looking for a sweep.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Flair shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Flair showed some decent athleticism there. Flair wants to stand up but Mir IV has a hold of him and won't allow it. Flair thows a huge punch but Mir IV dodges it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mir IV makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mir IV. Mir IV looks gassed! Mir IV preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Flair misses with a wild combination.
Flair shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mir IV counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Flair throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mir IV wants to pass the guard but Flair is keeping the position. Flair had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mir IV is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Flair Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mir IV's back instead. Flair missing with strikes from the back. Flair punches the canvas rather than the man. Flair lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Mir IV.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Flair gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Mir IV dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Flair with a poor takedown and Mir IV counters with a shoot takedown. Flair fights it but they end up in guard. Mir IV prevents Flair from getting back to his feet. Mir IV showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Flair wants to improve his position but instead Mir IV has moved into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Flair is squirming around, avoiding Mir IV's attempts to control the action. Flair wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Flair tries to break free.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Flair can't escape the position.

Flair manages to reverse the position and now he's in Mir IV's guard. Nice work there by Flair.
Mir IV keeping moving, preventing Flair from controlling successfully. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mir IV misses with a takedown and Flair cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Flair lands with a straight right. Mir IV didn't see that one coming. Mir IV slips under a jab. Ric Flair is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flair throws a big shot that misses. A nice combination there by Flair.
It looks like Frank Mir IV has been cut. Flair looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Flair throws and elbow that misses. Mir IV uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Flair's guard. Nice move by Mir IV! Flair wants to sweep here but Mir IV controlling him for the moment. Flair looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flair wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mir IV manages to pass to side control. Flair is looking to improve his position.
Flair keeping control of the position. Flair is pressing down on Mir IV's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ric Flair will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Frank Mir IV's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Flair looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mir IV is one step ahead there. Flair pulls Mir IV in to control the position. Flair is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mir IV is controlling him. Mir IV controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Flair wants to get back to his feet but Mir IV is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Frank Mir IV has got the better of the ground game so far. Mir IV takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Flair is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Mir IV defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Mir IV manages to reverse the position and now he's in Flair's guard. Nice work there by Mir IV.
Flair is looking for a triangle but Mir IV pushes his legs off easily.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mir IV doesn't succeed with the takedown and Flair counters with a stiff right hand. Flair works Mir IV's body with a nice hook. Flair thuds a left hand into Mir IV's body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flair darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Flair trying to control the pace. Flair tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mir IV knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Flair is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Mir IV trying to control here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flair wants to advance to full mount but Mir IV doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Mir IV has Flair pulled in close to control his posture. Mir IV trying to keep a closed guard but Flair is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Flair working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
