Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian MacKaye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). davis comes into the arena with tony yayo ft. 50 cent - they call it murder (game diss) blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
davis doesn't manage to clinch there - MacKaye circles away.
MacKaye shoots in and drives through. davis sprawls well.
davis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
MacKaye shoots in but no luck this time.
MacKaye closes the distance and clinches up with davis, looking for a takedown. MacKaye pushes davis against the cage but davis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Shawn davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ian MacKaye.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
davis lands a left hand that snaps the head of MacKaye backwards.
MacKaye tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. davis just stands there and leans against the cage.
davis throws a blind hook that connects with the side of MacKayes head.
davis has picked MacKaye up - he's going for a ride! davis dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
davis prevents MacKaye from improving his position.
davis tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
MacKaye is looking to improve his position.
MacKaye wants to get back to his feet.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
MacKaye tries to get to full guard but davis has control of the leg.
MacKaye is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute davis jumps into side control!
MacKaye tries to get back to half guard but can't.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
davis moves in looking to clinch but MacKaye pushes him off.
MacKaye looks for a takedown but davis sprawls well.
davis clinches up against the cage.
A body shot lands from davis.
davis works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

with the fighters clinched against the cage, davis creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
MacKaye blocks a jab.
davis lands a jab to the nose.
davis rushes MacKaye and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A nice left hand lands by davis.
davis pushes MacKaye back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
MacKaye is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from davis.
MacKaye fails to pull guard.
davis lands a body shot in the clinch.
davis works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
davis lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
MacKaye on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
MacKaye tries to break the clinch but davis is controlling the position.
davis has dropped down and is working for a takedown. MacKaye is trying to keep an underhook but davis manages to get the takedown into half guard.
MacKaye is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
MacKaye trying to hold on to davis's head to control him but davis postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
MacKaye regains full guard. Nicely done.
MacKaye tries to land a sweep but no joy.
MacKaye is looking to sinch up a triangle. davis throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to MacKaye's body to avoid the submission. MacKaye has instead reached around davis's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! MacKaye arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Ian MacKaye!
