Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miyamoto Usagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miyamoto Usagi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hank Hill!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Usagi shoots in for a takedown but Hill shows good takedown defense.

Usagi looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hill!
Hill is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Usagi has hold of Hill's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hill manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Hill is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position.
Hill tries to hold on but Usagi pushes him away.

Usagi goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hill turns into him and now he's in Usagi's guard.

Usagi had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hill is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Usagi Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hill's back instead.

Hill turns into Usagi and is now in his guard.
Hill trying to control the position from guard on top but Usagi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Hill stands up from Usagi's guard - Hill perhaps looking for a knockout.
Hill misses with a series of wild punches.

Usagi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Hill is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Usagi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Usagi could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hill stops Usagi from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Hill wants to hold on but Usagi pushes him away.
Usagi mounts Hill! Really nice guard pass there!

Usagi goes for an armbar but Hill turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hill.
Usagi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Usagi looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Usagi is working hard here to advance position.
Hill trying to control the position from guard on top but Usagi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hill controls from within his opponent's guard.
Usagi is trying to control the position but Hill postures up.

Usagi is breathing heavily.
Hill won't allow Usagi to sweep him here.
Hill must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Hill scores with a takedown into Usagi's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Hank Hill will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hill rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Usagi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Usagi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hill!

Usagi content just to control the position here.

Hill prevents any damage by holding on tight.
Hill is trying desperately to improve position.

Usagi jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hill manages to avoid the submission attempt.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Usagi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hill counters with a two punch combo.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miyamoto Usagi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Usagi feints and as Hill raises his hands in defense, Usagi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Usagi drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hill looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hill looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hill!

Usagi doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Hill counters with a single leg into guard. Usagi didn't expect that.
Hill is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Hank Hill has got the better of the ground game so far.
Usagi wants to sweep here but Hill controlling him for the moment.
Usagi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hill controls the pace.

Usagi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hill wants to get up but he can't break Usagi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Usagi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hill is staying active underneath Usagi, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Usagi is looking for a kimura here.
Usagi is tying to control. Hill wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hank Hill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Usagi tries to reverse the position but Hill maintains control.
Usagi bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Usagi is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Usagi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hill is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hill has escaped and now he's on top!

Usagi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hill doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hill manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Usagi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hill is one step ahead there.
Usagi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Usagi is looking to take a break and control but Hill is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Usagi is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hill is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Hill controls Usagi momentarily but Usagi frees himself.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Hill has Usagi pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Usagi manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Hill has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Usagi regains guard immediately.

Well Hill has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
