Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nonito Donaire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Donaire might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Filipino Flash - Nump. The crowd seem to be enjoying Quinn's choice of entrance music: BRANDED by Faces Of Mars. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quinn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Donaire pinned against the cage. Donaire gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Quinn fails with the takedown
and Quinn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Quinn misses with a combination
and Donaire makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Donaire stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Donaire wants it to stay on the feet.
Nonito Donaire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Quinn.
Quinn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Donaire tries to avoid it but Quinn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Donaire to the ground. Donaire escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Donaire stuffs the takedown attempt from Quinn. Quinn gets slowly back to his feet.
Quinn shoots for a double leg takedown but Donaire sprawls well. He's pushed Quinn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Quinn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Quinn throws a body punch but Donaire moves out of range.

Quinn avoids a punch combination nicely.
Quinn takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Donaire keeps the fight on the outside.
Donaire circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dan Quinn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quinn gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Donaire counter with a right hand.

Donaire throws a good cross that connects.
Quinn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Quinn shoots in for a takedown but Donaire shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Quinn looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Quinn wants to pass to mount but Donaire is defending the position.
It looks like Quinn is going to stand back up.

Quinn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Donaire keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Quinn is looking for a kimura here.
Donaire knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Quinn on the ground.

Quinn is working for a submission of some sort.
Quinn trying to mount his opponent but Donaire defends it.

Quinn trying to control from Donaire's half guard. Donaire has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Quinn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Donaire swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Quinn looking to sit in guard and control but Donaire gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Quinn trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

A close round but Dan Quinn will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Quinn shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Quinn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Donaire circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Quinn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Quinn fails with the takedown.
Quinn drops his hands momentarily and Donaire takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Quinn pushes Donaire up against the cage in a clinch.

Quinn jumps guard and drags Donaire to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Quinn has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Donaire should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Quinn has tightened it up now! Donaire should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
