And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards moves out of range of the body kick.

Richards shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Richards showed some decent athleticism there.
Longlee wants to improve his position but Richards is controlling well.
Longlee is trying to stand.
Longlee is doing well to control the position and prevent Richards from advancing to side control.
Richards missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Richards thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Richards drops an elbow to the side of Longlee's head.

Longlee is staying active underneath Richards, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Richards is defended easily by Longlee.
Richards shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Longlee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Richards tries to avoid it but Longlee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Richards to the ground. Richards escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Richards tries to close the distance and clinch up but Longlee swats him away and circles back towards the center.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Richards has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Longlee is not content to let Richards control the position.
Longlee wants to improve his position but Richards is controlling well.

Jay Jay Richards overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Richards is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Longlee doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Richards.
Richards looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Longlee with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Longlee tries to roll over but Richards keeps him under control.

Longlee is in trouble now - Richards has advanced to mount!
Richards won't let Longlee get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Longlee tries to hold on but Richards pushes him away.
Richards is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Longlee can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Richards is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Longlee is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Longlee flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Richards anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Longlee and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Richards slips an arm under Longlee chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Richards has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Richards is squeezing on Longlee like an anaconda would it's prey. Longlee fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
