The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kongo attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Jaynestown connects with a solid leg kick.
Jaynestown takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Kongo misses with a body shot.
Kongo checks a low kick from Jaynestown.
A head kick from Kongo lands but Jaynestown takes it in his stride.

It looks like Mayor Jaynestown has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fight stays on the outside here - Jaynestown looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kongo stalks Jaynestown and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jaynestown's face. Jaynestown staggers backwards, shaken.
Jaynestown throws a low kick but Kongo avoids it.
Kongo throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jaynestown throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cheick Kongo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jaynestown takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

That has opened up Mayor Jaynestown's cut even more.
Kongo tries to land a front kick but Jaynestown steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Kongo has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jaynestown.
Jaynestown throws out a leg kick but Kongo moves out of range and Jaynestown only half commits.

and Jaynestown counters with a stiff right hand.
Jaynestown fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kongo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Kongo checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jaynestown looks to land a body kick but Kongo moved away.
Jaynestown on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Kongo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jaynestown.
Kongo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

A nice inside leg kick there by Kongo. That's going to slow Jaynestown down.
Jaynestown slips a jab and a cross from Kongo.
Jaynestown takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

The cut above Mayor Jaynestown's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Jaynestown chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kongo can pounce on him.
Kongo throws a nice outside leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kongo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kongo throws a shot from downtown. Jaynestown moves away and avoids it.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kongo.
Kongo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kongo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Kongo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Mayor Jaynestown's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Jaynestown takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mayor Jaynestown's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
