The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Becker throws the left hand but Ryder avoids the punch easily.
Ryder shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Ryder tries to clinch but Becker moves out of range.
Becker wants to land a leg kick but Ryder is out of range.
Becker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ryder uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Becker.
Ryder fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Becker avoids it really well and circles away.
Becker defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ryder.
Becker misses with a looping right.
Ryder fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bruce Becker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Ryder.
Becker throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ryder sees it coming and avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ryder closes this distance looking for a takedown but Becker circles away.
Ryder will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Becker misses with a hook. Ryder ducked under it nicely.
Ryder changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Becker tries to avoid it but Ryder manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Becker to the ground. Becker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Becker throws out a powerful jab.

It looks like Jeff Ryder has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A punch lands to the side of Ryder 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Ryder misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Becker looks to land a right hand but Ryder moved out of range.
Becker tries to bum rush Ryder with a series of wild strikes but Ryder uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Becker throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Becker throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ryder uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Becker.

Becker lands a left and a right that send Ryder crashing to the mat, dazed. Becker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Ryder is rocked!
Ryder tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Becker swivels and escapes.
A looping hook to the body misses from Becker. Ryder does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ryder throws a sloppy head kick
and Becker makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ryder looks gassed!

Becker feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ryder sprawling to the canvas! Ryder rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Becker finish him?!
Ryder is still on wobbly legs! Can Becker finish him?
Bruce Becker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Becker throws an uppercut from hell that sends Ryder clean off his feet! He's out cold! Becker stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
