Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Knotts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ric Slobberknocker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knotts kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is James Brown - Superbad. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ric Slobberknocker! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slobberknocker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A looping hook to the body misses from Slobberknocker. Knotts does a little dance to reset his feet. Knotts scores with a hook. Knotts jabs Slobberknocker to the body, keeping him at a distance. Slobberknocker scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Knotts takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Knotts has managed to clinch.
Slobberknocker looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Knotts has a couple of punches blocked by Slobberknocker.

Still in the clinch, Knotts scores with a nice short uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Knotts pushes Slobberknocker back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A short right hand to the side of the head by Knotts. Knotts has Slobberknocker pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Slobberknocker manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Slobberknocker avoids the elbow strike from Knotts, against the cage.

Knotts turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knotts working away. Knotts trying to control the position but Slobberknocker is working away. Knotts lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Slobberknocker down.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ric Slobberknocker hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Slobberknocker lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Knotts throws a good cross that connects.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Knotts scores with a hook. A lazy left from Knotts finds it's target. A looping hook to the body misses from Slobberknocker. Knotts does a little dance to reset his feet. Ric Slobberknocker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Knotts misses with a double jab.
Slobberknocker gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Knotts feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Slobberknocker's calf. Slobberknocker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Knotts throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. A punch lands to the side of Slobberknocker 's head but he takes it in his stride. Knotts moves out of range as Slobberknocker strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Don Knotts dominated that round. The cut man is working on Don Knotts's cut. That's time! Knotts's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Knotts counters with a left and a right that stings Slobberknocker. Knotts throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Slobberknocker stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Slobberknocker jabbing away but nothing is landing. Knotts misses with a few strikes there.
Knotts shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Knotts wants to clinch. Slobberknocker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Knotts cracks Slobberknocker with a good jab. Jab by Knotts. Knotts on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
This has been an exciting period of action! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Slobberknocker lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Knotts has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Knotts and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Slobberknocker looks to score with a jab to the body but Knotts is just out of range.

He's got hold of a leg but Slobberknocker swivels and escapes. Knotts manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Slobberknocker on his heels. He'll look to pass Slobberknocker's guard now, I'm sure. Knotts trying to control the position from guard on top but Slobberknocker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Slobberknocker wants to improve his position but instead Knotts has moved into half guard.

Slobberknocker keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Knotts looking to control but Slobberknocker is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Knotts lands with some strikes. Knotts controlling his opponent. Knotts has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Knotts wants to control the pace but Slobberknocker is squirming around nicely. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Knotts has hold of Slobberknocker's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Slobberknocker manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Slobberknocker takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Knotts closes the distance and pushes Slobberknocker back into the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Knotts.
That has opened up Ric Slobberknocker's cut even more. Slobberknocker is trying to break free. Knotts prevents Slobberknocker from breaking the clinch. Knotts scores with a nice hook to the head. Knotts manages to break the clinch.

Slobberknocker gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Knotts. Knotts fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Slobberknocker sprawls well initially but Knotts persists and gets the takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Knotts frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Ric Slobberknocker's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ric Slobberknocker's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
