Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Sonnen looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Bell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Sonnen! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bell wants to clinch but Sonnen slips to the side enabling Sonnen to counter with a crisp jab. Bell wants to clinch. Bell throws a nice looking combination but Sonnen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sonnen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bell throws a nice looking combination but Sonnen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sonnen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bell pinned against the cage. Bell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bell clobbers Sonnen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sonnen. Bell misses with a double jab
and Sonnen counters with a series of strikes. Bell will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bell misses with a kick to the body.
Bell wants to clinch up but Sonnen keeps it at a distance. Bell tries to close the distance and clinch but Sonnen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bell could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Bell lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Bell stuffs the takedown attempt from Sonnen. Sonnen gets slowly back to his feet. Tony Bell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Sonnen. Bell throws out a powerful jab.
It looks like Brian Sonnen has been cut. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Bell!
Tony Bell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sonnen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Sonnen looks gassed! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bell. Bell pushes Sonnen up against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sonnen looks to throw an elbow but misses. Sonnen misses with a punch to the body.
Sonnen breaks from the clinch.
Sonnen blocks a head kick by Bell.
Bell closes the distance and lands a one-two. Sonnen rushes Bell and presses him up against the cage. Sonnen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sonnen shoots in for a takedown but Bell shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Tony Bell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sonnen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bell swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sonnen shoots in but no luck this time. Bell moves into the clinch. Sonnen manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on Sonnen's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. Bell trying to stall but Sonnen improves his position.
Bell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sonnen walks away with a smile on his face. Bell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Bell tries to bum rush Sonnen with a series of wild strikes but Sonnen uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sonnen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bell circles away quickly and effectively. Danga de danga de dang - Bell scores with a four punch combination! An inside leg kick lands from Sonnen. Bell fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bell throws a head kick but Sonnen moves out of range.
Sonnen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bell circles away. Sonnen is trying desperately to land a takedown but Bell is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Sonnen. Sonnen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bell paws at him with a jab and circles away. No luck for Sonnen with that takedown attempt. Nice takedown defense from Bell. No joy for Sonnen on that attempt. Bell swinging wildly here.
Sonnen rushes Bell and presses him up against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bell avoids a wild elbow strike from Sonnen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Bell dominated that round. The cut man is working on Brian Sonnen's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Bell throws a sloppy head kick and Sonnen moves out of range easily. Bell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tony Bell is winning the standup battle so far. Bell throws a head kick that misses. Tony Bell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A telegraphed right hand from Sonnen misses the target. Sonnen darts in and clinches Bell up against the cage. Sonnen comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. With the fighters up against the cage, Sonnen throws an elbow but misses. Bell tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Sonnen avoids it. Sonnen tries to land a knee to the head but Bell blocks with his arms.
Sonnen manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Bell prevents the takedown attempt.
Sonnen is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sonnen lands a shoulder strike. Sonnen misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bell.
Sonnen stalling.
Sonnen lands a hook to the side of the head. Bell looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Bell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bell tries to clinch but Sonnen moves out of range. Sonnen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sonnen moves into range and clinches up with Bell. Sonnen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sonnen works over Bell's head and body with a nice combination. Sonnen closes the distance and clinches up with Bell, looking for a takedown. Sonnen pushes Bell against the cage but Bell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bell moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Bell misses with a head kick.
Bell connects with a single shot there. This has been an exciting period of action! Nice takedown defense from Bell. No joy for Sonnen on that attempt. Tony Bell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Sonnen. Bell throws a nice head kick!
A left and a right from Bell both land. Nice combination. Sonnen keeps the fight on the outside. Sonnen drives through and clinches with Bell against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sonnen has Bell pressed against the cage.
Sonnen lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Sonnen connects with a knee to the head.
Sonnen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bell just stands there and leans against the cage. Bell using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Sonnen has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Bell looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Sonnen takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Sonnen receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Bell takes an elbow to the forehead. Sonnen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sonnen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sonnen throws a nice inside leg kick. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bell throws a leg kick and Sonnen counters with an inside leg kick. Bell fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bell takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Sonnen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Brian Sonnen's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Bell moves in looking to clinch but Sonnen pushes him off. Bell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sonnen rushes Bell and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Bell looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Bell tries to break the clinch but Sonnen is controlling the position. Sonnen lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Tony Bell has been cut. Bell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sonnen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sonnen dives in and grabs Bell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bell pushes down on Sonnen's head and hops out. Bell throws a body kick the misses and Sonnen counters with a big head kick but Bell shrugs it off. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bell throws a right hand that Sonnen ducks under and follows up with a left that Sonnen also avoids with ease. Bell throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sonnen counters with a nice body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bell misses with a head kick.
Horrible takedown by Sonnen or perhaps it was just good defense by Bell which made him look bad. The fight stays on the outside here - Sonnen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A head kick misses from Sonnen. Sonnen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bell tries to clinch up but Sonnen circles away and keeps his distance. Bell tries to close the distance and clinch but Sonnen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sonnen swats away the attempt to clinch by Bell. Sonnen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bell, pushing him back against the cage. Sonnen lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Sonnen tries for a takedown but Bell manages to get underhooks.
Tony Bell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Sonnen. Bell's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Sonnen displaying some good clinch control by pressing Bell up against the cage. Sonnen fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sonnen misses with an elbow over the top. Bell wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sonnen has him pressed against the cage. Sonnen breaks from the clinch.
Bell lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Bell throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sonnen avoids the head kick by Bell.
Sonnen looks for a takedown but Bell sprawls well. Bell keeps Sonnen at a distance using the push kick. No luck for Sonnen with that takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bell tries to clinch but Sonnen moves out of range. Bell moves in looking to clinch but Sonnen pushes him off. Bell lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Sonnen clinches with his opponent.
Sonnen lands an elbow just above Bell 's eye. Sonnen stalling against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sonnen lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Brian Sonnen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Sonnen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
