Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leto II Atreides (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nigel Burkshire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burkshire is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by It's a Fight - Three 6 Mafia. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Nigel Burkshire was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nigel Burkshire!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Burkshire looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Burkshire keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Atreides throws a front kick aimed at Burkshire's knee but Burkshire avoids it well.

Burkshire moves into range and clinches up with Atreides.
Atreides is trying to force a seperation but Burkshire has the dominant position.

Burkshire is trying to trip Atreides. He has hold of a leg but Atreides is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Burkshire persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The fighters circling - Atreides throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Atreides stalks Burkshire and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Burkshire's face. Burkshire staggers backwards, shaken.
Atreides tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Burkshire was well out of range. Poor timing from Atreides.
Burkshire moves out of range of the strikes.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Burkshire creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Burkshire shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Atreides is trying to defend but Burkshire finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
