Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Doug Conger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Bowles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Bowles will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Doug Conger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Bowles! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conger scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Conger stands up and beckons Bowles to his feet. Conger looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Conger shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Conger misses with a few strikes there.

Conger trying to control from Bowles's half guard. Bowles has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Bowles throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conger with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bowles is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bowles is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Conger might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Conger makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! A nice combination there by Conger.
Bowles throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Bowles closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Conger is breathing heavily. Bowles wants to pass the guard but Conger is defending well. Bowles postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Conger to stand up. Bowles dodges the punch combination from Conger.
Conger throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A slapping leg kick lands for Bowles.

Conger shoots for a takedown but Bowles saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Bowles throws a left and a right that both miss
and Conger counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bowles's guard now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bowles holds on and takes a little breather. Bowles not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bowles has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Conger off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Bowles fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Conger sprawls well initially but Bowles persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Conger taking some punishment here, with Bowles in his half guard. Bowles is controlling the pace.
Conger tries to roll over but Bowles keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bowles controlling the action here. Bowles thows a huge punch but Conger dodges it nicely.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Conger is trying to get back to full guard. Conger wants to control but Bowles is keeping busy.
Bowles is taking a breather. Conger says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bowles lands a nice short elbow. Bowles is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Conger looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Bowles is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Conger doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bowles. Bowles thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Conger's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Brian Bowles will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Bowles closes the distance but Conger moves to the side and Conger counters with a takedown into side control. Bowles trying his best to control but Conger has mounted him. Conger avoids the attempt from Bowles to control. Bowles is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bowles tries to improve his position but instead Conger has taken his back! Conger scores with punches to the body. Bowles looking to control the position. Bowles manages to reverse the position and now he's in Conger's guard. Nice work there by Bowles.

Bowles must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Conger working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bowles. Bowles seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bowles preventing the sweep. Conger pushes Bowles off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Conger closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Conger tries to advance position but instead Bowles slips a leg back in to half guard. Conger stops Bowles from getting back to his feet.

Conger is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Conger trying to control the action but Bowles is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Conger postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Bowles to stand up. Conger misses with a takedown attempt and Bowles counters with a slapping leg kick. Doug Conger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Conger looks to land a combination but Bowles avoids it well. A nice combination there by Bowles.

and Bowles counters with a big head kick but Conger shrugs it off.
Conger is rocked! Conger could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Bowles gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Conger counters with a two punch combo. Bowles tries to clinch up. Bowles lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

A close second round but Brian Bowles will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Bowles shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Conger as he avoids it easily. Conger throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bowles counters with a shoot takedown. Conger fights it but they end up in guard. Bowles decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Conger, up you get! Conger has his takedown stuffed and Conger takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Bowles throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Conger. Bowles moves in looking to clinch but Conger pushes him off. Conger misses with a combination
so Bowles counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bowles pushes down on Conger's leg and manages to get into half guard. Bowles content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conger is pressing down on Bowles's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Bowles content to stall in guard here. Conger is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bowles is controlling him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bowles trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bowles wants to get up but he can't break Conger's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Conger keeping moving, preventing Bowles from controlling successfully. Conger is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bowles advances position into side control! Conger tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bowles wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Bowles scoring with punches and elbows. Bowles decides to stand back up. Bowles steps back and let's Conger get back to his feet. Bowles shoots in for a double leg but Conger sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Conger fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bowles doesn't succeed with the takedown and Conger counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Doug Conger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Bowles. Bowles has clasped his hands together around Conger's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Bowles works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Bowles wants to lay and pray for a moment but Conger keeps working. Conger takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bowles decides to take the fight back to the feet. Conger throws a nice looking combination but Bowles bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Conger misses with a series of wild punches.
Conger fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bowles manages to avoid it. Conger misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Conger misses with a looping left. Bowles swats away the attempt to clinch by Conger. Conger looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Bowles! Conger trying to control but Bowles is having none of it. Conger is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bowles is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Conger prevents Bowles from getting the reversal. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bowles can do anything to dispel that myth. Bowles tries to lock up and control but Conger gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Bowles doing his best to control the position. Can he escape? Bowles is looking to improve his position but Conger isn't that keen on the idea. Conger tries to control but Bowles wriggling away. Bowles bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Conger is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Doug Conger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bowles decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Conger, up you get!
And that's the end of the fight! Brian Bowles comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Bowles winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
