Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Deano Clavet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keith Marciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deano Clavet could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Keith Marciano's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Deano Clavet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Keith Marciano! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clavet is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Marciano. Marciano throws out a loose jab but Clavet uses good head movement to avoid it. Marciano misses with a series of wild punches.
Marciano throws a right hand that Clavet ducks under and follows up with a left that Clavet also avoids with ease. Clavet tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Marciano paws at him with a jab and circles away. Clavet closes the distance and clinches. Clavet's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Clavet changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Marciano tries to avoid it but Clavet manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marciano to the ground. Marciano escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Clavet fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Clavet shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Marciano but Marciano pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Deano Clavet. That's going to take a lot out of him. Marciano throws a right hand that Clavet ducks under and follows up with a left that Clavet also avoids with ease. Marciano swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Clavet changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Marciano looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Clavet tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Clavet has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Clavet tries to score with some ground and pound. Marciano controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clavet is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Marciano has escaped the position, nice work there. Clavet throws an elbow but Marciano slips to the side and avoids it well. Clavet is trying to ground and pound but Marciano uses the momentary lack of control by Clavet to regain half guard. Clavet seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Marciano does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clavet is taking a breather. Marciano says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Clavet has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Clavet sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Marciano defending well though. Clavet is looking to stall here but Marciano recovers full guard. Clavet wants to control from the top but Marciano keeps moving. Clavet controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Deano Clavet just wasn't active enough. Marciano misses with a double jab
enabling Clavet to counter with a crisp jab. Clavet closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Marciano quickly recovers to half guard. Clavet sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Marciano defending well though. Clavet prevents Marciano from improving his position. Clavet not landing any meaningful shots this time. Clavet has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Marciano defend it? Clavet steps over the head and cranks it - Marciano is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Clavet!
