5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jace Beleren! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Deere shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Beleren manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Deere trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Deere trying to control but Beleren is working from the bottom. Beleren is pulling down on Deere's head to control his posture. Deere wants to stand but Beleren is controlling his posture from full guard. Beleren bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Deere's guard. Deere tries to strike from the bottom.
Beleren in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Beleren preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beleren forces his way into half guard. Beleren is thwarting Deere's attempts to control the position. Deere is trying to get back to full guard. Beleren is trying to control the action in half guard but Deere is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Beleren works his foot free and advances to mount. Beleren looking for a guillotine from mount but Deere is having none of it. Beleren is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Deere has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Deere is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Beleren throws some wild stikes that Deere manages to avoid easily.

Beleren thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jace Beleren showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Beleren closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Beleren lands in his opponent's guard. Deere looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Deere is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Beleren defends well. Beleren avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Beleren performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Beleren looks to land a strike but Deere avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Jace Beleren is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. BOOM! Beleren connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Beleren can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Deere is looking to escape. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
