Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Pounder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrell Suggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Robert Pounder has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robert Pounder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Terrell Suggs! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suggs darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Suggs wants to control but Pounder is keeping him busy. Pounder won't allow Suggs to pass to mount. Pounder pushes Suggs off looking to stand but Suggs dives back in and keeps control.
Suggs is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Suggs seems to be looking for submissions.
Suggs is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pounder defends it well. Suggs is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Pounder has managed to free his arm - good work. Suggs is trying to work for a kimura but Pounder is defending well.
Suggs looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Suggs is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pounder is just riding it out for now. Suggs eventually gives up the hold. Pounder tries to roll over but Suggs keeps him under control. Suggs seems to be working for a kimura but Pounder defends the submission attempt. Suggs is working for a kimura but Pounder is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Suggs is pressing down on Pounder's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pounder is holding on for now. Pounder knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Suggs on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Suggs shoots in but no luck this time. Suggs shoots in for a takedown but Pounder shows good takedown defense. Pounder throws a series of strikes that have Suggs backpedaling.
Suggs shoots for a double leg takedown but Pounder sprawls well. He's pushed Suggs's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Robert Pounder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terrell Suggs. Nice takedown defense from Pounder. No joy for Suggs on that attempt. Pounder throws a series of punches but Suggs moves out of range. Pounder cracks Suggs with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Pounder fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Suggs manages to avoid it. Suggs keeps the fight on the outside. Suggs shoots in looking for a takedown. Pounder tries to sprawl out of it but Suggs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pounder manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Pounder scores with a nice head shot. Pounder keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Suggs takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pounder lunges at Suggs with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Suggs's hand. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Suggs. Pounder misses with a few strikes there.
Horrible takedown by Suggs or perhaps it was just good defense by Pounder which made him look bad. Pounder swinging wilding here.
Suggs gets the takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Suggs tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Pounder is trying to control Suggs's posture but Suggs avoids it. Pounder tries to buck Suggs off but Suggs is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Suggs working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. You can see the frustration on Pounder's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Pounder manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Suggs looking for submissions off his back. Suggs is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pounder's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pounder's back! Pounder is really stuck here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Pounder trying to control the hands but Suggs won't let him. Suggs is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Pounder defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Terrell Suggs will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Suggs takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. A combination from Pounder does no damage. Suggs clinches up with Pounder and pushes him back against the cage. Suggs can't get the takedown.
Suggs is trying to trip Pounder. He has hold of a leg but Pounder is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Suggs persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Suggs wants to control from the top but Pounder keeps moving. Suggs drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Suggs jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Suggs slips nicely into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Suggs is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pounder is just riding it out for now. Suggs eventually gives up the hold. Suggs is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Pounder is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Terrell Suggs!
