The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haston scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Haston is working Thompson over with some ground and pound from side control.
Thompson taking punishment in the form of punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A lull in the action here as Haston stalls from top position.
Haston has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Haston throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Thompson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Haston has hold of Thompson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Thompson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Haston cranks the arm and Thompson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Thompson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
